I love living by moon cycles and so many people ask me what I do. There is so much you can do and a lot of it depends on what you are looking to let go and what you’re looking to achieve.
But this is a great place to start…
Step 1: Create a Sacred Space
Find a quiet, comfortable area in your home where you won’t be disturbed. You may want to cleanse this space beforehand with sage or palo santo to clear any stagnant energy. Set up your ritual area with items that bring you peace and focus – this could include candles, crystals (such as moonstone or labradorite), soothing music, and perhaps a bowl of water as a symbol of emotional clarity.
Step 2: Ground Your Energy
Begin by grounding yourself to enhance your connection to Earth and your own centre. You can do this by sitting comfortably with your feet flat on the ground, closing your eyes, and imagining roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the earth. Visualise these roots anchoring you firmly to the ground, stabilising and grounding your energy.
Step 3: Reflect and Write
Reflect on what the past lunar cycle has brought you and what you wish to leave behind. Write these reflections down in a journal to clear your mental and emotional slate. Then, shift your focus to what you want to attract or manifest in the new lunar cycle. Be specific about your intentions – whether it’s a new job, healing a relationship, personal growth, or creative projects. Write these intentions down to solidify them in your mind and heart.
Step 4: Visualization Meditation
With your intentions set, close your eyes and enter a meditative state. Imagine each intention as a seed being planted. Visualise these seeds taking root and growing, blossoming into reality with each breath you take. See yourself living out these intentions, experiencing the joy, success, and fulfilment they bring.
Step 5: Affirmations
Create a few affirmations based on your intentions that reinforce the visualization. For instance, if your intention is to find joy in everyday life, you might affirm, “I am surrounded by joy and find happiness in every moment.” Repeat these affirmations aloud to enhance their power.
Step 6: Offer Thanks
Conclude your ritual by offering thanks to the universe (or your preferred spiritual entity) for the energy and clarity provided. Express gratitude for what you have, what’s to come, and the journey itself.
Step 7: Close the Ritual
Gently blow out any candles, signalling the end of your ritual. Keep your written intentions and affirmations where you can see them daily to remind you of your focus. Carry a crystal that aligns with your intentions with you as a tangible reminder of your commitment to your goals.
